There are a number of places you can go when searching for snow during the holiday season. Your budget will help determine where the best place to visit would be, and keep in mind that traveling during the winter months can cause flight delays. Nevertheless, you may be located nearby some of the hot spots that are perfect to go skiing or simply take in the view.

Caribou, Maine
There is at least a 97 percent chance you will snow during the holidays. Cross country skiers typically go here to train or exercise.

Kellogg, Idaho

The highest temperature during December is usually about 35 degrees and the lowest is below 0. Very cold but a definite winter wonderland.

Eagle County, Colorado
Colorado is one of the best states to view any kind of winter wonderland as it sees snow falling throughout the winter months and not just in December. Visiting Eagle Country you can stay at Beaver Creek where there are breathtaking views and world class ski slopes. You can relax in spas and enjoy the surrounding mountains that tend to keep the area warmer than it really is. You will experience low temperatures from below zero to 45 degrees.

Massena, New York
This city lies on the Canadian border and is near the St. Lawrence River. You will get incredible views of water and mountains in this fast growing industrial and commercial center of the 20th century. There is a 77 percent chance that you will see snow during the holidays and a 23 percent chance there will be more than 10 inches deep. You can spend time near the fireplace while watching movies and spending time with the family while the snow falls outside.

Concord, New Hampshire
This place gives an 87 percent chance of snow during the holidays and 7 percent of at least 10 inches deep during their long winter season. This is an ideal place to take the family as you can explore historical places while enjoying the beauty of natural areas in parks and forests.

Montpelier, Vermont
With beautiful New England landscaping covered in snow with more than a 93 percent chance to see snow during the holidays you will get to enjoy the beauty of the capital city. There is a 40 percent chance you will experience 10 inches of snow during the long winter season. There are plenty of unique and antique shops throughout the area with a number of things to do including visiting museums and historical places. 

There is always a place to go when you want to experience plenty of snow during the holidays. There is something for everyone whether you are traveling alone or with the family.
